Jeff Barnett-Winsby is an artist and community organizer with an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in Photography.  He has exhibited internationally and his second book, Mark West and Molly Rose, was published in 2010 by J&L Books.  He has served on the faculty at the Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Rhode Island.  

He is a founder and Co-Executive Director of the Wassaic Project. He lives in Wassaic, NY with his wife Bowie and their two daughters Gilvey and Fenner.

Since they moved to Wassaic in 2009 he has opened the Lantern and served as the Zoning Board of Appeals Chair. He is currently a proud Commissioner of the Wassaic Fire District, a member of the Wassaic Fire Company, a member of the town affordable housing board, and also serves on the ethics committies of both the town of Amenia and the Wassaic Fire Company.
