Wassaic / Land of Difficult Access

This place is ancient and convergent, perfectly normal yet facinating.

I am not sure how to frame this project but I want it to be ongoing and living just like this place. So, you will find here an evolving set of images (some mine, and some not) and words that attempt to record the strange, the wonderful, and the simple history.

There was a time when four young Samurai lived in the woods near Wassaic. They were followers of Thomas Lake Harris, a charismatic spiritualist they met in London. One of them would travel the world taking in all he could about technology in support of a modern Japan. He would westernize the Japanese educational system and transform Japan. His name was Mori Arinori and he would later be assasinated by someone who felt he had betrayed Japan and its traditions.

I wonder how they would all feel about the Ninja Turtles.
